  • Duration: 10N 11D
  • Minimum Group Size: 2
  • Maximum Group size: 20
  • Max. Altitude: 3800m

The Jomsom Muktinath trekking course, which is relatively light and easy, runs from Pokhara through the Kali Gandaki Valley where Jomsom is located. It is located between the huge Dhaulagiri & Nilgiri regions, near the border of the Upper Mustang region, commonly known as the Shangri-La of the Himalayas. The Jomsom Muktinath trekking route is one of the oldest and most traditional routes along the old Himalayan trade route or salt trade route. As you pass through this place, you will see a wealth of attractions where different cultures coexist - aboriginal villages, local people, traders, donkeys, and mule trains. As you travel, you will find the deep green valleys and high mountains being fully embraced in the arms of the mighty Annapurna range.

Nepal's majestic diversity (both scenery and culture) reaches its peak on this route. Your emotions will be stirred while praying to the divine god, Vishnu, at the temple of Muktinath. You will reach a maximum altitude of 3800m, so you must be at least moderately fit to complete the trek. During the trek towards Ghorepani, you will see beautiful orchards in front of you and the majesty of two 8,000-meter peaks - Mt. Annapurna (8091 m) and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 m). A short early morning hike from Ghorepani takes us to Poon Hill (3210m), a place of eternal beauty where you can admire the beauty of the Himalayas and experience the cultures & lifestyles of the Gurung, Thakali, Brahmin, and Chhetri people.

On the Jomsom Muktinath trekking course, you will also relax in Tatopani's natural hot springs which are said to have healing properties. Here, you will also witness the blue flames of natural methane gas, which is believed to have been burning since the creation of the first fire by Brahma, the founder of Hinduism. There are 108 small waterfalls (flowing from artificial water pipes) that breathe new life into your mind and spirit. The trek ends at Jomsom, from where we fly to Pokhara and head back to Kathmandu.
