Package Highlights
The adventure begins in Kathmandu Valley, where you can explore historic sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath. As you trek, you'll connect with the indigenous people and experience their simple, timeless way of life. The Tamang Heritage Trail offers a glimpse into the culture of this region, strongly influenced by Tibetan traditions due to its proximity to Tibet.
Day 1: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
We start early with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. Along the winding road, we soak in views of Manaslu, Annapurna, and Ganesh Himal. Our trek begins in Syabrubesi, a charming village and the gateway to Langtang. We rest here overnight.
Day 2: Syabrubesi to Gatlang
We set off from Syabrubesi, climbing to a viewpoint for stunning vistas of Ganesh Himal, Gosaikunda, and Goljang Valley. The trail descends to Goljang Valley, offering views of the Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma, and Langtang Lirung. Our day ends in Gatlang, a beautiful hillside village with traditional stone houses.
Day 3: Gatlang to Tatopani
Our journey from Gatlang takes us downhill to Thangbuche, offering views of the Ganesh Himal and Langtang Ranges. We then cross the Chilime Hydropower dam and ascend to Tatopani. Tatopani, meaning "hot water" in Nepali, is known for its natural hot springs, perfect for relaxing tired muscles. We will spend the night here.
Day 4: Tatopani to Thuman
Today, we trek from Tatopani to Thuman via Brimdang and Nagthali. We ascend to Nagthali Danda, a hilltop with mesmerizing views of snow-capped Himalayas. We pass through dense alpine forests and reach Brimdang, a Tamang settlement. After a warm tea break at Nagthali, we continue to Thuman, a Tamang village, where we stay overnight.
Day 5: Thuman to Briddhim
We start our trek with a gentler trail, slowly descending to Timure. Our journey leads us to Briddhim, a Buddhist village nestled beneath the Langtang Himal. The stone houses here resemble a typical Tibetan village, as most inhabitants have Tibetan roots. We rest for the night in Briddhim.
Day 6: Briddim to Syabrubesi
We continue our trek to Syabrubesi, following the Bhote Kosi River on the left side of the valley. After crossing the river and passing through fields, we reach Syabrubesi. Here, we conclude our Langtang adventure with an overnight stay.
Day 7: Return to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we embark on a five-hour journey back to Kathmandu via the winding road. Then we check in at the hotel and have dinner.
Day 8: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Departure
Finally, the last day arrives. After breakfast, we will go on a city tour to some incredible places. Pashupatinath - one of the oldest temples in Nepal, and Bouddhanath - a peaceful and very popular ancient Buddhist site listed as a world heritage by UNESCO. After the short tour, we return to the hotel for lunch. After that, we will depart. Drop-off at the airport is available free of extra charge.
